April Grant

April Grant has 11 years experience in healthcare policy with a focus on the life sciences that she brings to her work with Fabiani & Company.
Mrs. Grant started her career as a Legislative Assistant to Congresswoman Nancy Johnson (R-CT) working on women’s health issues and staffing the Congressional Caucus for Women’s Issues. Following her time on the Hill, Mrs. Grant spent seven years with BIOCOM, the second largest regional trade association for the life sciences, building their government and public affairs department. In this role, she maintained a current knowledge of federal, state and local laws, as well as legislative trends and ballot initiatives affecting the life science industry, and advised the President/CEO and BIOCOM Board of Directors on issues in order to identify and act on key priorities. During her time at BIOCOM she also started the San Diego Biotechnology Political Action Committee and managed all of the organization’s political counsel. Mrs. Grant left BIOCOM to join Genentech in a public affairs role. In this role she reported directly to the Vice President of Operations on all issues pertaining to public affairs and community relations. She left Genentech to join Allergan as the Director of State Government Affairs and Policy Development. In this position she managed a seven-state region and the company’s relationships with state and national political, industry and advocacy organizations.
Mrs. Grant has her BA in Political Science and completed her coursework for a MA in Public Policy at San Diego State University.
