Barnie Howell brings to Fabiani & Company over 15 years of acknowledged expertise in military and government procurement procedures.  Frequently credited with creating strong” family” relationships, Mrs. Howell has extensive familiarity conducting business with the Federal Government and military including available access, business procedures, contracting vehicles and the military procurement process. 

Mrs. Howell began her sales career with Xerox, then moved into the medical industry with US Surgical Corporation and Pharmacia Ophthalmics where she consulted with physician specialist throughout various surgical procedures, often “scrubbing in” and offering technical support and product specific expertise. 

Furthering her medical sales and distribution career, Mrs. Howell moved to Welch Allyn Inc where she served as the Director of Military Sales for over fifteen years. With Welch Allyn, Mrs. Howell was responsible for marketing an entire medical product line to the military as well as Federal agencies located domestically and abroad.  Mrs. Howell successfully grew annual product sales to the US military from $825,000 to $18 Million, with total sales of over $105 Million in a ten year period. Additionally Mrs. Howell negotiated numerous VA and DoD national contracts to stimulate sales growth in Medical Treatment Facilities and initiated strategies with military testing laboratories to test five devices to gain award of Air Worthiness Certification for rotary and fixed wing aircraft.

As the Senior Director of Military Sales for ZOLL Medical, Mrs. Howell was an integral member of the transitional team recruited by ZOLL from Welch Allyn to manage the military and government customer base for monitoring and defibrillation devices. While with ZOLL, Mr. Howell continue to support Welch Allyn’s product line resulting in over $18 million of first year sales and successfully transitioned the release of the next generation Welch Allyn device over to ZOLL Medical.
