The result was a law that requires health plans to cover mental health and substance abuse on a par with other health conditions.
Women’s Health Care Company
A principal, now, at Fabiani & Company helped secure increased Medicare and private sector reimbursement for an improved cancer screening test. The team worked with women’s health, minority, consumer, health professional and seniors’ organizations to generate coordinated rounds of letters, calls and visits with Members of Congress. As a result, Congress adopted language directing Medicare to provide increased reimbursement for the screening technology. Private health insurers soon followed suit.
